Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Effective October 24, 2026. SoundHeart Counseling LLC, Mat-Su Valley, Alaska.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency health care services, including counseling.
  • Make sure your provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your service or item. You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

How this works at SoundHeart

SoundHeart is a private-pay practice. For licensed counseling and clinical intensives, you will receive a written Good Faith Estimate before your first session, and again if your expected services change. The estimate lists the expected services, their fees, and the period of care it covers.

To request a Good Faith Estimate at any time, email info@soundheart.org or call 907-310-1404.

Coaching, training, and retreats are non-clinical services. Their fees are shown in full in the registration or payment link before you commit.
